Nearly all U.S. adults now use the internet (95%), own a smartphone (90%), or have high-speed home internet (80%), according to Pew Research. However, tech adoption varies: wealthier, more educated, and younger adults are more likely to own smartphones and have broadband. For example, 98% of those earning $100,000+ have smartphones versus 79% of those earning under $30,000. Also, 95% of high-income households have broadband, compared to 57% of lower-income ones. Interestingly, 41% of adults are online almost constantly, with young adults, higher earners, and urban residents leading the way.
